Mindstorm's Storm Front

Note that as of version 0.62, you should be able to install SwakSmack by directly clicking on the "Install Extension" link near the top of the http://mindstorm360.com/swaksmack page.

There is no need to uninstall previous versions as the new version will install over the old version. You can also install updates using FireFox's Addons "Find Updates" feature (provided you have at least version 0.62 installed)

Version 0.5x instructions

Installation:

Download the latest version of SwakSmack.
Click and drag the downloaded .xpi file onto the Firefox window.
You will get an installation dialog window asking you to click "Install."

If you get a dialog box asking you to redownload the file when you drag it onto Firefox, do the following:

Open the Add-on's window by selecting the "Tools" menu and then"Add-ons."
Drag the .xpi file onto the Add-ons window.
Click the "Install" button.

Configuration:

Click the "Tools" menu and then "Add-ons."
Select "Options" or "Preferences" from "Jellyfish Smack Shopping Extension."

To configure Outwit notifications, select the tab titled "JellyFish Smack Shopping Preferences."
Check the appropriate boxes under Outwit Preferences (Enable Outwit Alert, Outwit Vote Warning, Guru Guessing Alert) as desired.
Close the Preferences window to enable changes.

To configure chat highlighting, select the tab titled "Chat Highlighting Preferences."
Check the appropriate boxes for Chat Highlighting Preferences.
Under "Keyword List" type in your list of keywords. For example, if you want to highlight when someone in the chat uses the words "getstuff" "get stuff" or anything starting with the word "gets" in it, type:

getstuff,get stuff,gets

Do not leave a trailing comma or space at the end of the line (SwakSmack will not highlight anything if you do).

To change your Highlighted Text or Background Color, find the hex value for the color you would like.
http://www.siteprocentral.com/html_color_code.html is a handy free tool to find the colors you would like.
Once you have found the color you would like, enter the 6 character hex value into the appropriate text box and close the Preferences window to enable changes. You may need to refresh the Smack chat window in order to see changes.
